We're Back!!

The day after my last post my mom arrived for a week long visit and then we spent this past weekend in North Carolina....that should explain my MIA.

We had a great visit with grandma. She had a lot of fun getting to know Shiloh again! It took a little bit for Shiloh to warm up to mom again but after my mom gave her some food they were best buds! Grandma was able to go to Gymboree with us a couple times, see Shiloh in action in her pool, and let me sleep in a few mornings! It was a great visit and Shiloh and I will miss her!

Last Thursday morning mom and I packed up her van and Shiloh and drove up to North Carolina for my sister's wedding. Rich followed behind Friday after work. We had a great weekend in North Carolina and Andrea and Daniel had a beautiful wedding! This was also the first time in a LONG time that the entire family was together (immediate family). As I'm getting older I really appreciate those times more and more.

Wordful(???) Wednesday

I had to add this post today because I am just so excited!! I finally got a picture of Shiloh standing by herself!! She's been doing this for the past week or so but I've never had a camera ready to capture it. In the past week she would only stand about once or twice a day but today she....well, I can't count the amount of times she stood. Her longest time so far is 30 seconds. Towards the end of the day she was playing a game with Maddie where she would use Maddie to stand herself up and then raise her hands high above her head and just collapse on her. That's what the following pictures are of.

Wordless Wednesday!

Father's Day Fun!

We had a nice relaxing Father's Day yesterday. Rich loved his gift Shiloh made from him (see previous post). We got up, went to church, had lunch at a mexican restaurant (rich's choice), relaxed at home, then took Shiloh out in her new pool! It was a good day!

Father's Day

Rich doesn't read my blog so I can post this here. Shiloh and I finished one of his Father's Day gifts today! I am so excited to give it to him! I know he will love it! Anyway, I went out and bought some posterboard and washable fingerpaints. I had this vision of a beautiful father's day poster with perfect little handprints and footprints all of over it. Well, once Shiloh got a hold of the poster any visions I had went right out the door. Still, I think it turned out perfect!

I did manage to get some prints on it

5 More Days.....

until Grammy comes to visit!!! I love when my mom visits!! I am so looking forward to having someone here during the day with me! I'll be able to shower whenever I want to, take as long as I want to get around in the morning, I'll have someone to talk to, etc....it's so great! Best of all, though, is Rich and I will have a date night!! Actually, I'm hoping for a date day. My mom doesn't know it yet but I want to leave Shiloh with her all day Saturday while she's here. It would be so nice to have a whole day to ourselves! I'm sure my mom won't mind. That's what grandma's are for, right?! Anyway, she'll be here for a whole week and then Thursday the 26th Shiloh, my mom and I will drive up to North Caroline to help my sister with last minute preperations for her wedding. Rich and the rest of the family will arrive Friday evening for the rehearsal dinner. While we are staying at our hotel Shiloh will have her first experience in a nonkiddie pool! That will be fun for her, I'm sure, and best of all daddy will be there to experience it with her!

A Little Bit of Nothing...

Gymboree was today! It seems like Gymboree day is the only day I have anything to write about! I'll work on that. Anyway, Shiloh did well. There was another new baby today. Alex from Spain joined! Also, I forgot to mention Kayelin from our first Thursday class....I think that is how you spell his name. Anyway, he is absolutely hilarious! The poor little guy is trying his darndest to crawl but just can't quite get it. He lays on his belly and everyone of his limbs just goes a mile a minute but there is no progress made whatsoever! It's adorable though!

Andrea's wedding is coming up in just over two weeks! I can't believe when we see her she'll be 16 weeks pregnant already! I wonder if that's far enough along to feel the baby kick?! We should be seeing her a few more times before the birth so hopefully one of those times I'll get to feel something. When Shiloh's birth mom was pregnant with her I only got to feel one kick....poor Rich didn't get to at all...so this little one had better deliver in that area! One more bit of news regarding Andrea's pregnancy, they find out on July 14th what the sex of the baby is!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed it's a girl! So far her heartbeat has been in the mid 160s so that's a good sign.....I know that's an old wives tale but I can still hope! If it's a girl her name will be Kirsten Love (love is a family name on Daniel's side) and if it's a boy....they are still clueless there. James will more than likely be the middle name and that is all they know.

Brittany posted some pictures online from her wedding. Here's a great picture of her with all of the bridesmaids. Don't the flowers and dresses just look perfect together?! And, of course, doesn't Brittany look beautiful?!

BLAH!

That has been my mood all week! So much has happened since I posted last but I just haven't felt like doing much of anything this past week, especially blogging.

I still don't but, oh well, here goes! The last time I posted anything was a week ago today so if you look at last weeks post you'll probably be able to guess that Shiloh had Gymboree today! Woo hoo...that's my attempt at being excited! Really though, she had another fun class. We met two new babies today, Addison and Ethan. So cute! This was Shiloh's second class this week. During the summer they run a special where you can bring your child to as many classes as you want for their age group without paying anything extra. Since it's so hot they figure we don't want to spend a lot of time outside (which is true, at least for me) so we go there instead of playing outside! So yesterday we went to an afternoon class. Shiloh had tons of fun at that one because it was just her and Ashlyn (most all of the babies seem to go to the thursday class) and since there were only two babies they got to do a couple extra things that we don't do on her normal day. Fun Fun!

Backtracking to this past weekend now, our friends Brittany and AJ got married!! Thursday night was the bachelor/bachelorette parties. The girls went out to Atlanta to a pole-a-tease class. It sounded like they had an awesome time. I was not able to go because Shiloh was constipated and screaming her head off . Instead we stayed home where the bachelor party was being held! Fortunately Shiloh is a heavy sleeper so she slept through it all. Overall, it sounded like both parties went well and everyone had a great time! On to friday, Shiloh and I met up with Brittany and the rest of the bridesmaids/flower girl and got our nails done (thanks again Brittany) and then went to Panera for some lunch! After that Shiloh and I went to run some errands and then get ready for the rehearsal that night!

The wedding Saturday was beautiful. Brittany look absolutely perfect in her dress and AJ looked so handsome in his tux....Rich did too, by the way :) One of my favorite memories from the day is definitely the limo rides! Brittany splurged and rented a stretch Hummer limo to drive us from the hair salon to the church and then from the church to the reception. I've never been in a limo before so that was absolutely awesome for me! Great day overall! And now the happy couple is having the time of their lives, I'm sure, on their 7 day carribean cruise! I can't wait to hear all about it when they return!

Sunday was a day of rest and relaxation for us. Oh, wait, one more thing about Saturday. That was Shiloh's first experience with a babysitter! She was wonderful!! I was so nervous that I had ruined her for babysitters by being a stay at home mom with no family member nearby to watch her every now and then. Erin said she did great and just got fussy and couple times when she was tired! It's such a relief to know that I can leave her with someone for a few hours (she was with Erin for 8 1/2 hrs) and she won't be traumatized! Ok, back to Sunday. We got up and went to IHOP for breakast and then ran a few errands (returning tuxes, picking up a couple dress Britt left at her hotel, etc). We then spent the afternoon/evening resting. We were both pretty exhausted after Saturday. Also, Shiloh turned 8 months old on Sunday!!! I can't believe we have less than 4 months until she is 1 year old! It is really starting to go by too fast now! I've stopped daydreaming about what she'll be like/how fun she'll be as a toddler and started just taking every moment in that I have left with her as a baby!!

I think that's about all the catching up I had to do. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were pretty quiet for us....except for the two Penguins games...sad, sad, sad!
