My Favorite Shiloh Quotes

"Mama, I having issues" -She spends way too much time around me.

"I sorry... it was just an accident" -See... she usually says this when she has no reason to apologize. For example, you just accidentally bumped into her.

"Woah! Good driving daddy" -When Richard goes around curves while driving.

"Go, go, go, go" -Anytime I have to stop the car while driving (red lights, stop signs, etc)

Lately she's decided to start referring to herself as "the princess". It's cute, to me, because she came up with this all on her own. I assure we have never referred to her as a princess... that's not us. Anyway, she'll say things like, "the princess got it"... it's kind of cute.

And my FAVORITE quote...

Shiloh: "Guess what"
Me: "What"
Shiloh: "I love you, Mama"

My favorite word she can't pronounce is fruit roll up. She says fruit row yup. I love it so much that sometimes I use her pronounciation... actually, I usually do.

A quick Shiloh story....

This morning Richard woke up to find Shiloh's bedroom door open and Shiloh not in her bed. He went downstairs to look for her and as he was on the last step he heard, "daddy?" coming from the family room. He headed that direction and found Shiloh laying on the couch with her blankie and pillow. He asked her why she was downstairs and her response, of course, was, "I wanted to sleep on the big couch." She then asked him to turn on Backyardigans and lay with her. And so he did :)

I was telling my sister this, trying to figure out when she might have gone downstairs. I'm guessing it was truly some time during the night, because every morning when she wakes up she immediately comes into our room and wakes me up. EVERY morning. Plus, this was around 6:30-6:45 am. Shiloh has not woken up that early since she was about 3-4 months old. I'm not sure what to do about this. I really don't want to have to lock her in her room, and putting up a gate won't help because I'm certain she'll just climb over it. But carrying her pillow and blankie down the stairs in the middle of the night is not something I want her to make a habit of.

Oh I love this! You should more Shiloh stories :).

And isn't it hilarious how they talk? Sam apologizes too if we bump into him. Funny how they get that kind of stuff mixed up.
A new one from yesterday, "it's not bright, it's dahk, i can't see myself!" True Sam.

So cute!!

About coming out of her room - does she recognize numbers yet? When she does, you can try putting a digital clock in her room, and telling her she has to wait till the clock says 7-0-0 (or whatever time) before she can get up. (Unless it's for potty or an emergency, of course!). That worked great for our kids.
