It's Time!!

As I type this I'm sitting at my sister's house in NC waiting for a friend of hers to come pick up Shiloh so I can go to the hospital...Andrea and Daniel just left a few minutes ago themselves!! My parents are about 3 hours away so unless Andrea's progress picks up big time they should arrive before Austin is born. When Daniel and Andrea left her contractions were coming about every 5 minutes and lasting about a minute. She's handling it all very well!

Anyway, check back later for pictures of Austin James!!

Christmas 2008

Cookies and candy on the table before 8:30 am...that's how you know it's Christmas!

Richard opening one of his stocking stuffers. It is a Family Guy PS2 game that will be played all day.

Shiloh with her couch that folds out to become a bed.

Opening a stocking stuffer....her My 2nd Christmas Ornament.

I told Rich not to get me anything for Christmas this year because if we get the house we want that will be all the Christmas present I need, so in my stocking there was a Taylor Swift cd that he knew I wanted and two IOUs. One for a house, and the other for a Wii....that's what I really wanted for Christmas.

Opening her doggy that says the alphabet, teaches body parts and colors, sings songs, etc.

The gift I couldn't wait for her to open...her aquadoodle!!

Shiloh's best friend, Ella, sent her a Best Friends Forever picture frame and a couple of dresses.

Very cute dresses from Ella....especially the red and pink polka dot one!

A new hooded bath towel...I thought it was cute and it's very large so she will be able to use it for a few years.

Can you tell she was excited?? Apparantly pajamas are not a good Christmas present.

>

A DVD player for the car...only to be used for long car rides up north, to my sister's, to Alabama, etc.

She loves her aquadoodle!

Whose toy is it??

Playing with her new doggy.

Brittany and AJ came over in the morning while we opened presents. Brittany made homemade sticky buns and I threw some cinnamon rolls in the oven.

Playing his new PS2 game

Our Christmas dinner I prepared all by myself! I was very proud!

And Shiloh loved it!

"Pretty" Continued

I don't know why the quality of this one is so bad. Maybe it's time for a new video camera....hmmm?!

"Pretty"

High Pain Tolerance?

Shiloh officially has 3 molars coming in all at the same time, as well as what her baby book refers to as a cuspid tooth. She's handling it fairly well. She's had a few irritable days but for the most part she's still a pretty happy girl.

Big Announcement!!

Well, it's not quite an announcement yet as we haven't heard back from anyone, but hopefully soon I'll be announcing that our offer on a house has been accepted!!! I wanted to wait to post anything until we heard back from the seller but that may not even happen until tomorrow so I'm not waiting! Also, anyone from facebook who reads this already knows anyway!

It all started when Rich came home from work Wednesday evening talking about how a guy at work has been trying to convince him to put our house on the market. He's been telling Rich we need to try to take advantage of the low interest rates and foreclosures that are out there. So Thursday while Rich was at work I browsed the internet looking at foreclosures and found one that actually looked really nice. Our friend Brittany, the real estate agent, just happened to be visiting when I found the house so we set things up to go look at the house after Rich got off work. Long story short, we fell in love with the house!!

Friday we got pre approved for the house we want so all weekend we cleaned our house and Brittany took pictures Sunday evening so we can put it on the market! Today around 1 pm we faxed over our offer on the new house!! We are trying not to get ahead of ourselves and become too excited (this is especially hard for me) because everything is contingent on us selling or leasing/renting out our house. The good news there, though, is we already have someone coming to look at the house tomorrow! The even better news is they have a baby girl who I believe is no more than 1 1/2 months old so we might not have to paint over Shiloh's nursery if they are interested! For those of you who don't know, Rich and I put a lot of work into her nursey and it is going to be kind of heartbreaking for us to leave it behind....especially if it is to be painted over. But it is just a room and we will move on.

I've included a picture of the house below. It is essentially my dream house. It has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and a large backyard that is all fenced in just waiting for Shiloh and the dogs!!

Lack Of Blogging

We have been extremely busy since my last post! I will hopefully have some good news to share tomorrow that will fill you all in on what has been going on!

Wordless Wednesday: Sometimes I Think I'm Raising A Boy

Am I a horrible mom for taking a picture of this??

After taking the above picture I put her slide away until she listens when I tell her not to stand on it, so she moved on to this toy. I didn't take a picture of her standing on it because I didn't want to risk my luck.

A Few More Christmas Pictures

As you can tell, Shiloh did NOT enjoy meeting Santa. As soon as Rich tried to hand her over to Santa she dug her little fingers into him and would not let go. I ended up sitting next to Santa with her on my lap. You can see by the picture that, in her opinion, it was still too much.

Isn't my daughter beautiful ;)

Shiloh's Gymboree Winter Wonderland Party was Sunday. We have no pictures from it due to the fact that I forgot about the party until 15 minutes before it started. In our rush to leave the house I forgot to grab the camera. Shiloh had a good time at the party and made the beautiful ornament you see below....mommy may have helped a bit.

Our church had a Christmas Service this past Sunday. Below are two pictures of Shiloh in her Christmas dress.

One Hot Mama

I know. It's cheesy, right? But that's my goal!!

Yesterday Brittany and I rejoined Bodyplex! Rich and I were members before Shiloh was born but cancelled shortly after I became a SAHM to try to save some money. Well, I'm back now and, not to sound cheesy again, but it felt so good this morning! I am so excited to get rid of my baby weight. (Yes, adoptive moms have baby weight too! Don't argue!)

And even more good news, Shiloh did great...well, good...in the kidsplex (daycare). Yesterday when we were there signing up I put her in the kidsplex to see how she would do and after 15 minutes I could hear her screaming her head off. But, heck, I was excited she lasted 15 minutes! So, needless to say, I was wondering just how much of a workout I would actually get today....one hour and 15 minutes! That's right, we were able to workout for 1 hr and 15 min! At one point when Brittany and I were on the weight machines I could hear her crying but it only lasted a couple of minutes. Twenty-five minutes later when I went to get Shiloh she was sitting on the floor with the employee reading a bunch of books just as happy as can be! Of course, as soon as she saw me she ran over to me on the verge of tears, but that's okay. We can work on that.

Wordless Wednesday: It's Almost Time!!

My sister doesn't post any pregnant pictures so I got these from a friend of hers to share with everyone...37 1/2 weeks pregnant!!!
